What you’ll do

  • Achieve and exceed individual objectives on a designated Territory for the products assigned
  • Identify and establish a close liaison with Physicians, local key opinion leaders, pharmacies as well as health care institutions necessary for achieving the objectives on designated Territory for assigned products.
  • Communicate key promotional massages on assigned products by using promotional literature and other marketing materials as specified by Product Managers
  • To manage the territorial budget and to perform activities for the products assigned agreed with Line Managers and Product Managers in line with territory action plan
  • Develops and maintains maximum territory coverage
  • As per territory action plan organize local seminars and workshops, group product presentations for doctors, local mini symposia in a highly professional manner in order to promote product and enhance the Company image. The jobholder also actively helps to organize regional and national symposia as required.

Key Performance Areas

  • Analyse market situation, sales data and monitor competition activities in order to determine regional product opportunities & threats as well as make appropriate recommendation to explore territory opportunities and mitigate risks
  • Plan and report activity accurately and on time, in line with AZ SFE requirements so that KPI targets are achieved. 
  • Maintain regular contact with AstraZeneca colleagues to ensure an effective exchange of important information and a uniform representation of the Company’s interests.
  • Ensure all activities and responsibilities are carried out in compliance with the high standards of ethics and integrity required by the Code of Conduct, supporting Policies and Standards and Company Values to protect and enhance long term performance and reputation
  • Behaving according to AZ Core Values and ensuring compliance with the company's codes of practice; need to adhere to AstraZeneca standards for Patient Safety i Product Quality Complaints
  • Comply with valid national legislation, the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations Code of Practice on the Promotion of Medicines (the “EFPIA Code”) and INOVIA Code of Conduct, where the latter do not conflict with the former.
  • Obligation to act in accordance with AstraZeneca and SHE policy and standards, report all accidents (including traffic accidents), occupational diseases, incidents and other abnormal deviations to Line Manager and SHE  Coordinator
  • Through ongoing training and study of technical literature, promotional literature and other relevant documents, the jobholder remains up-to-date on all matters pertaining to his/her professional responsibilities.

Essential for the role

  • University degree, preferable Medicine or Pharmacy
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Personal initiative – ambitious and motivated
  • Excellent planning and organising skills
  • The ability to work under minimum supervision
  • Customer orientation
  • Basic analytical skills
  • Good level of English
  • Good computer skills
  • Valid driving license
