Oncology Senior Marketing Manager - Consumer NPP

AstraZeneca’s vision in Oncology is to help patients by redefining the cancer-treatment paradigm. We offer a broad pipeline of next-generation medicines that is focused principally on four disease areas - breast, ovarian, lung and HEMATOLOGICAL cancers. As well as other tumor types, these are being targeted through five key platforms - immunotherapy, the genetic drivers of cancer and resistance, DNA damage repair, HER2 and antibody-drug conjugates, underpinned by personalized healthcare and biomarker technologies.
The Senior Marketing Manager - Consumer NPP will be responsible for the implementation of the Hematological promotional brand plan across multiple B-cell malignancies (CLL and MCL). Key areas of emphasis for this role include the following: Assisting in development of Consumer strategy, tactical planning, execution, patient adherence and promotional consumer messaging. Additionally, this position will also be involved in key areas of the Non-Personal Promotion program including Media planning and optimization, Omnichannel management and agency management.
This position will report directly to the Associate Director, Hematology Marketing, and will work in close partnership with Brand Managers/Directors across the Hematology franchise. The individual will work collaboratively across the Hematology Franchise team and will play a critical role in execution of our marketing plan across Hematology current and future indications.
Prior in-line marketing experience required
- Bachelor’s (BA or BS) in relevant field Business or Life Sciences preferred
- experience in pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry with experience in one or more of the following: brand marketing, sales, managed markets, pricing or market research/analytics, strategic planning
- Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal, and organization skills.
- High level of emotional intelligence
- Strong business acumen, including working knowledge of changing U.S. payer and provider landscape
- Proven ability to interact productively with both commercial and scientific colleagues
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
- Prior pharmaceutical industry experience
- Oncology, Hematology or specialty care experience highly preferred
