The Philadelphia, PA site manufactures a life-saving influenza vaccine. Our product is aseptically filled into sprayers for nasal administration. The site consists of two geographic locations - a facility at Red Lion Road in NE Philadelphia has about 140 full-time employees and the Bensalem storage and distribution facility has about 5 employees. The facilities are about 8 miles apart and both are situated close to I-95, the city of Philadelphia, and Philadelphia International Airport. Our product is sold in the US, UK and other countries. Operations continue year round, with the production season being in the summer (typically May – August). Our site is highly collaborative where we show our Philly pride in all we do. We work closely together, always striving to be better every day. The Senior Process Execution Team Project (PET) Engineer in Philadelphia, PA supports multiple PET projects and lead cross-functional project teams. Management and execution of all elements of delivering projects including scope definition and control, stakeholder alignment, tactical project planning, resource and risk management, project leadership, team development and communication.
Successful project management includes guiding activities to meet objectives and approval of project recommendations through governance. Identify and recommend the best business proposition, develop a project plan, and then deliver the project plan to achieve business results. Identify, communicate and help resolve key issues. Provide ongoing status communications to the team and appropriate levels of the organization. Drive team accountability for deliverables and ensure projects meet achievements. Lead "lessons learned" exercises, share lessons among project leaders and other teams integrate lessons into existing processes, tools and templates.
Supports long-term strategy development for the PET (1-5 years), and delivery the site transformation map.
What you will do:
Introduce and Integrate new technology platforms to uplift PET capabilities
Drive new and uplift existing lean initiatives
Lead life-cycle management strategy within the PET
Exhibit strong facilitation skills to drive the team to deliver results/conclusions, handle conflicts and deliver solutions.
Bachelor's degree in Physical Sciences, Engineering, Business or a related field
Minimum of five years applicable experience and a minimum of seven years of industry experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
Very detail oriented
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Assertive, but also able to work in a collaborative environment with a proven track record to influence senior management
Ability to influence inter-departmental project activities with tact and persuasion.
Ability to support multiple project team activities, understanding the links and conflicts between teams, and recommending appropriate actions to improve project integration
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, MBA, and/or Six Sigma certification is helpful.
