Cyber Security Manager

Typical Accountabilities:

  • Consultation and Solution Review: Conduct comprehensive consultations and reviews to ensure cyber security measures align with industry standards and are effectively implemented.

  • Cyber Risk Reporting: Utilize Power BI to develop insightful Cyber Risk Reports for key stakeholders in Japan and China.

  • Collaboration with Governance and Compliance Teams: Work closely with governance and compliance teams to coordinate initiatives that implement security tools, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies while improving compliance rates and effectiveness.

  • Liaison Responsibilities: Serve as a central point of communication between regional representatives and global cyber team leads.

  • Review of Security Controls: Conduct reviews of security controls in accordance with China's Cyber Security Law (CSL) and others as applicable.

  • MLPS and DSL Compliance Review: Conduct thorough reviews of security controls for Multi-Level Protection Scheme (MLPS) and Data Security Law (DSL).

  • CBDT Internal Review: Facilitate internal reviews for applications involved in Cross-Border Data Transfers (CBDT).


Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• Essential:

  • Experience: Over 5 years in Security within a complex, multinational corporate environment.

  • Technical Expertise: Profound technical knowledge and experience in application security, vulnerability management, and secure software design and implementation.

  • Security Standards: Proven experience with frameworks like ISO27001 and NIST CSF.

  • Education: A relevant technical degree or equivalent credentials (CISSP, CISM, CCSP) with demonstrated competence in security initiatives.

Skills and Capabilities:

  • Problem-Solving: Exceptional troubleshooting capabilities, with a focus on autonomous work and strategic direction.

  • Communication: Strong written and verbal skills in English and an appreciation for local languages, with the ability to present complex information effectively.

  • Collaboration: Recognized for collaboration, integrity, and enabling team effectiveness.

  • Risk Analysis: Skilled at assessing complex situations, balancing security needs with innovative solutions.

  • Adaptability: Adept at prioritizing and navigating changes dynamically in a global context.

  • Business Acumen: Keen understanding of business sensitivity and industry context.
