Manager - Deal Finance
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work in support of the Deal Finance Directors to work on all stages of the deal process – from initial negotiations to due diligence, contract closure and post-deal integration
- Build complex, consistent and accurate transaction valuation models.
- Providing high-quality financial analysis and advice
- Prepare and coordinate formal post-transaction accounting & tax memorandum for internal and external governance
REQUIREMENTS
Essential requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (Finance or related)
- Strong academic background, preferably including accounting/finance qualification (CIMA, ACA, CFA, MBA or equivalent).
- Experience in financial evaluation techniques and financial modelling.
- Good understanding of cash vs. profit
- Strong understanding of value based cashflow metrics and their relevance in business evaluation
- Analytical thinking, and ability to collate and analyze relevant data to identify key drivers of value and risk
- At least more than 5 years’ experience of working in an investment bank/accounting firm with solid valuation capability, with previous experience related to the pharmaceutical industry.
- Ability to communicate financial recommendations to financial/non-financial senior leaders and other stakeholders in a way that is impactful and understandable
- Aptitude for working in a fast-paced environment and able to effectively manage multiple projects with changing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong teamwork skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively across functions, communicate proactively
- Fluent written and spoken English & Mandarin
- Experts in Microsoft Office (Excel and Power point)
Desirable requirements
- Confident and clear presenter, who can communicate financial and strategic recommendations in a concise and impactful manner.
- Tax structuring as it relates to deals in a multinational company
- Working knowledge of deal accounting
- Keen interest in business development and the wider pharmaceutical industry
