Regional Category Associate Director APAC-marketing(12 months)
This role is the Regional Category Associate Director of Marketing in APAC and sits in APAC category management team. The role is accountable for developing end to end category strategy in various marketing categories, through deep understanding of supply market, engaging with senior level stakeholders, and strong procurement expertise. Meanwhile, to deliver the strategy, the role needs to engage with Global Category Team and coordinate with the countries’ Procurement Managers, OGPS, as well as the Business, to ensure strong and collaborative relationships are built and maintained in APAC.
Key Accountabilities
Supports Director in the development of long-term strategic category plans for agreed scope of spend area across APAC.
Supports global category leader in the global project coordination for APAC markets.
Take the lead of category card generation for agreed scope of categories in APAC markets.
Strategic or across-markets sourcing projects leadership. From strategy to RFP/ contracting.
Coordinates the introduction of new market intelligence to upgrade the category strategy across APAC region.
Oversees implementation of market/ category plan to ensure that the underpinning process improvement and procurement activities deliver the expected business value in accordance with the strategic plans.
Supports Director in strategic relationship management (customer and supplier) to ensure that Market & Category Strategies are highly aligned to current and future Business need and that the supply base can support these strategies.
Works with relevant countries’ procurement team to ensure an integrated and customer-aligned AZ APAC category strategy be successfully executed in each local market.
Analyses and offer solutions to the raised issues in procurement audit reports and other supporting functions’ highlights.
Develops, evaluates or manages internal and external relationships with suppliers and other cross-functional teams.
Required Skills & Knowledge
Bachelor’s degree level or equivalent qualifications.
Good working knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry.
Technical expertise in at least one marketing procurement area, and competence in several others. Expertise in marketing research would be a plus preference.
Project management, strong analytical skills, strategic thinking.
Strong communication skills and ability to influence others.
Sound understanding of Safety, Health and Environment.
Comfort with fast paced and ambiguous situations.
