R&D Finance Business Partner – Beijing

Critical capabilities include:

• Proactive problem solving – being able to push to conclusion new issues where there is no current agreed process or solution
• Going beyond your role boundaries where there is a gap, including working with the leadership teams to continually develop and improve financial management and resource allocation by the departments.
• You will provide R&D Finance leadership subject matter expertise on the forecasting for the short and long-term plan and play a significant role in support decisions related to Portfolio Prioritization.
• This role involves spearheading our innovation efforts and ensuring that emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, are leveraged to enhance our business processes and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver BJ Investment related financial reports and analysis to Senior Management with the goal of providing actionable insights that can support business decision-making .
• Preparation of finance part presentations for project cost related business and finance review meetings.
• Investment & Benefits: Responsible for ensuring all project cost & benefits reporting & forecasting is robust with strong financial control
• Improvements: Supporting the leadership team with resource management & utilisation splits embedding agile ways of working & sustainable benefits tracking.

• Resource allocation: Responsible for ensuring function resource allocation is aligned to priorities and appropriate trade-offs are considered and implemented
• Process ownership: Ensuring business unit is integrated into all business planning function elements
• Finance Transition Lead role to support new legal entity set-up

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in a relevant field.
• Background in the pharmaceutical industry is required.
• Strong communication skill in Chinese and English.
• Hands-on experience with SAP operations.
• Project Management experience.
• Broad and diversified professional experience is preferred.
