Sr. Manager, R&D PMO
As a senior business planning manager, you will provide technical leadership as an expert designing and implementing business processes, and act as a PMO for strategic projects and initiatives. You will play a pivotal role in supporting R&D China in making a positive impact on changing patients’ lives. This opportunity is based in Shanghai or Beijing.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Process Execution:
- Manage business processes such as scorecards, risk logs, and resource planning tools.
Project Management:
- Lead and manage projects as a PMO, ensuring leadership and data integrity.
- Develop and implement project management governance and tools.
- Monitor project progress, ensuring milestones and KPIs are met.
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings and document decisions and alignments.
Operational Support:
- Provide operational support to the Head of R&D China and Head of BPO, including coordinating internal and external events.
- Prepare executive presentations.
Leadership and Development:
- Provide guidance and development opportunities for junior BPO team members.
- Build networks within R&D China and across AstraZeneca.
Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Essential
- Bachelor degree
- >5 years relevant experience in the life science
- Project management skills
- Influencing and negotiating skills
- Proficient in oral and written English
Desirable
- Advanced degree in a scientific discipline, PhD
- MBA and/or PMP
- Consulting experience
