AD-Alliance Management
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Associate Director of Alliance management will support China Alliance head in the development of 2030 AZ ambition and strategy "access to China innovation", taking accountability to accelerate early R&D asset landing in China from R&D to manufacturing and commercialization and will take on the project management under China Alliance head guidance and authority of each deal end to end with nothing significant falls through the cracks.
Associate Director of Alliance management will overall manage the projects through making strategic plans, milestone set-up, making key decisions or escalation for management team’s discussion and alignment, implementation monitoring and drive, resource allocation and risk management in all phases such as clinical trial management, supply chain set up and management, manufacturing site proposal and building, RA, CMC, finance investment etc.
The role standing in China, will work globally, leading cross - functionals and global relevant functional teams. will support or represent China Alliance Management Head to regularly report and communicate with stakeholder/client more broadly, including AZ China SMTs, X-SET management team, Global TA heads/functional heads, BD/Alliance heads.
The role will be responsible for developing Playbook for Access to China Innovation and do continuous optimization, and also build internal capability in early R&D asset deal alliance management and develop best approach in industry.
Will cover those deals as below:
China leading global R&D deal
Acquisition: Gracell, smooth integration into AZ; Local MNF expansion (SZ+HK); China leading global trial
License- in: Eccogene, Plant in China (WX), China leading global trial
License- in: Keymed; ADC CDMO plant in China (@Wuxi Biologics)
China - originated innovation extended exclusivities:
Allorion, Usyona (G12D)
REQUIRMENTS:
Minimum Master’s degree from top university;
At least 10 years working exp. in Pharm industry and mix knowledge in Finance, Marketing or Commercial Operation areas. Strong business acumen in healthcare industry.
Excellent English to communicate with global stakeholders
Proven track record of BD/ Alliance management projects (R&D, biotech alliance experience is plus)
Excellent communication skills, with powerful influencing on internal/external key stakeholders or partner and senior leaders.
Entrepreneurial, Strong team leadership without authority
Innovative, Strategic thinking, openness to new ideas, comfortability with uncertainties
