Head of Pharmacometrics
Qualifications
- PhD in quantitative disciplines such as pharmacometrics, pharmacology, mathematics and statistics
- Proficient skills with R and NONMEM (both essential) for modeling and simulation (M&S) work; and other software, e.g., MATLAB, Monolix, etc.; and experience and knowledge in constructing mechanistic or mechanism-based models
- Excellent knowledge of pharmacokinetics [PK], pharmacodynamics [PD], development and regulatory science and other areas (biology, medicine, etc.)
- Research experience and interest with advanced technologies such as AI/ML preferred
- Publications in peer-reviewed journals in pharmacometrics areas
Responsibilities
- Manage all business of pharmacometrics (PM) group; drive implementation of model-informed drug development concepts to support optimal dose/dosing regimen selection; clear strategic thinking and people leadership
- Support PM members for routine M&S work including translational/mechanism-based modelling activities for mechanistic understanding of different targets and modalities and population PK-PD and dose-exposure-response analyses for drug NDA submission or internal decision making
- Communicate with cross-functional teams for model interpretations, modeling ideas and results
- Provide pharmacometrics input in regulatory documents (e.g., briefing book, IND/NDA)
- Prior, adequate people management experience is needed with a passion to develop people
- Guide and train junior members
