IT Quality Manager
The Quality Manager will facilitate the realisation of the IT strategy for specific areas of Compliance & IT Quality and be accountable for the application of Compliance & IT Quality processes and services that assure that projects, systems, solutions and services delivered by IT meet AZ internal requirements and external regulatory requirementsrequirementsrequirements.. The role will act upon risks and issues in order to raise compliance and quality levels within IT and the business and support the development and roll out of training, education and awareness campaigns for Compliance & IT Quality. Continuous improvement of IT Polices, standards and processes is an integral part of the role.
Typical Accountabilities
- Develop and implement Compliance & IT Quality processes and services that assure that IT projects, systems, products and services and effectively apply relevant Policies, Standards and processes and ensure that any non-compliance is supported by approved exceptions
- Develop, communicate and continuously improve Compliance & IT Quality policies standards and procedures
- Identify, manage and resolve IT quality, compliance risks and issues and oversee resolution and reporting
- Ensure Compliance & IT Quality requirements are embedded throughout project and service lifecycle activities
- Monitor Compliance & IT Quality requirements that IT products and services must effectively comply with
- Leads/participates in supplier assessments to ensure that IT suppliers met AZ and Regulatory requirements.
- Develop and roll out training, education and awareness campaigns for Compliance & IT Quality
- Collaborate closely with the Business and IT teams, ensuring an understanding of the areas of GxP, SOx, Data Privacy impact based on the business process and use
- Taking a lead role of a global testing team, leading testing activities and performing lead audit reviews of regulated systems (e.g. GxP, SOx)
Education, Qualifications, and Experience
Essential
- BSc / BA and experience in IT quality and/or compliance application in large IT organisations
- Experience of operating across functions and geographies in large, complex and sometimes uncertain IT environments
- Experience of working closely with business areas and assurance groups to specify regulatory requirements for IT Systems
- Knowledge of industry good practice and standards such as ISO 9000, CMMI, GAMP, GxP, S404 Sarbanes Oxley
Desirable
- Experience of other IT management disciplines, such as project or service management
- Familiarity with technical concepts in infrastructure or applications
- Experience of the pharmaceutical industry
