Senior Manager, R&D PMO
As a senior business planning manager, you will provide technical leadership as an expert designing and implementing business processes, and act as a PMO for special projects and initiatives. You will play a pivotal role in supporting R&D China in making a positive impact on changing patients’ lives. This opportunity is based in Shanghai.
Typical Accountabilities
- Execute business processes (scorecard, risk log, resource planning tool) and effectively communicate to ensure R&D China as an organisation run in an efficient and compliant manner.
- Independently lead projects as a PMO, ensures efficient and effective leadership and management of project information, quality of data and projection, and integrity of information supplied, identifies risks and generates reports/presentations for the leadership team.
- Provide operational support to Head of R&D China and Head of BPO, including slides preparation and lead complex events.
- Proactively build network within R&D China and across other business areas in AstraZeneca, to share best practices, key contacts and emerging issues.
- Provides direction, guidance and development to junior members of the BPO team.
- Deputise Head of BPO as needed.
Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Essential
- Bachelor degree
- >3 years relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Influencing and negotiating skills
- Presentation skills
Desirable
- Advanced degree in a scientific discipline, PhD
- MBA and/or PMP
- Consulting experience
