(Senior) Real World Data Scientist
AstraZeneca has a rich history in Real World Evidence, having developed a coherent strategy to develop and internalize data assets the group is now amplifying those investments through a dedicated Real World Data Science capability based in China. Real World Data Scientists will provide methods expertise, mentor junior data scientists and deliver a range of analyses of real world data to support the business and give expert scientific and technical guidance on study design, RW data selection and best practice in RW data utilization. In addition, they will assist in advancing and shaping AZ’s Real World Science data strategy through supporting due diligence on new data providers/vendors, informatics support for data acquisitions for Therapeutic Areas.
- RWE database mapping and feasibility assessment of secondary database studies
- Provide expert technical input, options and directions to strategic decisions made by AZ observational study teams on study design, data partner selection and best practices in RWE data utilization
- Work with cross-functional team to propose the feasibility assessment plan and finalize the report
Oversee data curation process for secondary database studies.Initiate and implement disease cohort project
- Oversee data curation plan, data curation report, and database lock of secondary database studies, and address any data issues arising during study conduction
- Work with external vendors to propose and implement any disease cohort projects
RWD strategy, partnership and RWD insights generation
- Maintain a strong insight into the capabilities of potential external partners in RWE, and establish partnership with targeted data owners
- Deliver/Implement advanced secondary analyses of data from EMR, claims and primary observational data required by Therapeutic Area (TA) RWE strategies
